This work was created
during a residency in Liège
with the Fotoklasse in 2024
together with other photogarphy students from Kask, Eka and HKU. The exhibition was part of the photo biennal Mutant(X) in Liège where they reused the old city library as an exhibition space. The Images were taken with a peephole in front of the camera lense, in the Archive of a library, a circular room.
Title: Center of gravity
Loss of youthful lightness comes across after you reach the adult age you are confronted with a lot of responsibility, beeing alone, moving to a new city, finding new friends, paying bills. There are a lot of expectations that either come from yourself or are set by others.
The material that is used in the work is transparent acrylic glass that is printed from the back with a uv printer. The print is held by metal brackets wich respond to the coldness heaviness rigid/stiff feelings you get in such situations.
Reconnecting with nature has to be relearned as an adult in contrast children don’t have to do that because they’re drawn to nature without any compensation.

Title: Schweinebauchanzeige
Work for the anual exhibition
in 2024 at Fotoklasse.
One of the largest supermarket
chains in Germany
(Rewe) recently announced
that they will no longer
produce advertising
brochures. Approximately
25 million copies were
distributed every week.
Anyone who receives such
a brochure either throws it
away or reads through it to
compare prices and save.
Despite being a disposable
product, it is still painstakingly produced by people who photograph products or design the layout. This work consists of fragments from a collection of brochures. The excerpts were chosen so that no price or text is visible, emphasizing value. From being thrown on the ground to glossy prints on the wall.
